What is the Stavenio Gift Card Exchange?

Stavenio is working with CardCash to roll out a new feature that allows users to redeem and convert eligible gift card balances* into Stavenio credit, to be used for purchases on the Stavenio app or Stavenio.com.

Who is CardCash and what does it do?

CardCash.com, an independent company, operates the gift card exchange program and is one of the largest gift card exchanges in the world. It repurposes and then resells gift cards at a discounted rate on its website. Learn about CardCash HERE.

How does it work?

Got unused gift cards laying around? Now, you can exchange qualifying gift cards* for Stavenio credit. Follow the instructions below or get started now.

1. Sign in or create a Stavenio account

2. Click the "Trade unused gift cards for Stavenio credits" banner in any of these three locations:

   • Profile > Settings > Credits.

   • Perform a search and sort by lowest price.

   • On your cart page.

3. Once you've clicked on the "Trade unused gift cards for Stavenio credits" banner, you can enter details about the gift card you’d like to trade in.

   • Enter gift card details (Merchant name and remaining amount). You do not need to mail in your gift card.

   • CardCash will provide an instant offer for the gift card. If you would like to move forward, you will be asked to provide information to verify your identity (e.g. credit card, email, phone number, etc). This information will be used to decide if your card is accepted.

   • Your order will be submitted and reviewed by the CardCash team within 3 business days

   • If your order is approved, your Stavenio credit will be available in your account within 1 business day after approval

   • Approved? Congrats, start shopping for your new favorite thing using your Stavenio credit

Where can I find my Stavenio credit?

To find your credits, sign into your Stavenio account, navigate to account settings > credits. The credit will usually be available in your Stavenio account within one business day of order approval.

How much will I receive in return for my gift card?

Every brand is different. To find the exchange value for your card, please enter the Merchant name of the gift card and the remaining balance to receive an offer. You are under no obligation to exchange your card, and CardCash will not retain your gift card information if you do not confirm your exchange.

Does CardCash accept partially used cards or uneven balances?

Yes, however CardCash only accepts gift cards with a balance of at least $10.00.

Unsure of your gift card balance?

1. Calling the gift card merchant or checking online via their website (info is usually printed on the back of the card)

2. Visiting a physical location to use the gift card or the merchant store specific to your gift card to inquire on your card balance

I've already submitted a gift card that's higher than $10, why can't I checkout?

While your gift card balance is at least $10.00, your offer value must also be at least $5.00 to checkout.

Why does CardCash require a credit card?

CardCash requires a credit card in order to verify your identity and also to protect you and the community from potential fraud.

Why do I see a $1 authorization charge on my credit card, I’m not buying anything?

You will see a $1 authorization on credit card which is temporary and will only be used to help verify your identity, and to protect the community from potential fraud. Once your identity has been verified the $1 authorization charge will be cleared within a few days.

Why do I need to provide a phone number?

CardCash requires a phone number to verify your identity. When providing a phone number or other personal information for verification, please use your personal (not corporate) phone number or other information.

Do I need to create a separate account with CardCash to participate?

Once you submit your request, a CardCash account will be automatically generated for you by CardCash. You will receive a confirmation email from CardCash stating your request has been processed.

How do I know if I’m eligible to use the CashCard Gift Card Exchange?

To be eligible, you must be a registered Stavenio user with an account in good standing*.

*Note: Closed or limited Stavenio accounts are not eligible for the GiftCard Exchange or to receive these credits.

How do I know if my gift card(s) are eligible for exchange for Stavenio credits?

I have a gift card with an expiration date, will you accept them?

No, unfortunately, they cannot accept gift cards that have an expiration date.

Can I exchange more than one gift card via CardCash?

Yes, you can exchange more than one gift card. To trade in more than one, click the "Add Another Card" link.

What is the maximum value of a gift card that can be exchanged?

The maximum value of a gift card depends on the merchant type. For example, the maximum for a coffee shop or fast food restaurant would be lower than the maximum for a department store.

Does CardCash accept merchandise credits?

Yes.

Is there a fee to exchange my gift card?

There are no fees to exchange your gift card to Stavenio Credits. The offer from CardCash represents the amount of Stavenio credit that CardCash is willing to pay and will typically be less than the remaining balance for the gift card.

How long will it take to get my Stavenio Gift Card credits?

If your Gift Card exchange request is successfully approved by CardCash, your Stavenio credit will typically be transferred into your account within 1 business day.

Does my exchanged Stavenio Gift Card Credit expire?

The Stavenio credit you receive in exchange for your gift card(s) via CardCash do not expire as long as your Stavenio account remains in good standing.

Can I cash out my Stavenio credit to my bank account?

No, Stavenio credit received by a customer as part of the exchange program may not be withdrawn to the user’s bank account via Direct Deposit, Instant Pay or any other means. Such credit can only be used to pay for items listed on the Stavenio platform.

I’m getting an error message and unable to proceed with my gift card exchange request when entering my phone number, what should I do?

If you get stuck during this process or receive an error message, you may need to cancel your order and retry. Please contact our customer service via email at [email protected]. Additionally, you can manage your exchange order from your CardCash account. You can complete the account setup by setting your password here.

My gift card exchange order has been denied. What do I do from here?

CardCash is a secondary gift card market and our priority is protecting our marketplace for both gift card sellers and buyers. We use a combination of automated and manual processes to help ensure all orders are cleared for potential fraud risk, have the proper card balance, and are of interest to our buyer community.

Can I get better rates for my cards or is it the same for all gift cards?

CardCash’s rates are determined by market pricing, which is affected by several factors. To find the rate for your card, please enter your gift card information to receive an offer. You are under no obligation to sell your card, and CardCash will not retain your gift card information if you do not confirm your exchange. Please note that the offer you see displayed for the same gift card of the same value may change over time.

I changed my mind. How do I get my card back?

An order can be canceled before it is fully processed by visiting https://www.cardcash.com/order-status.

What happens to my Stavenio credits if a Stavenio purchase transaction is canceled?

If your transaction has been canceled, any Stavenio credit applied towards your purchase will immediately be returned to your Stavenio account and available for re-use.

What happens to my Stavenio credit if my account is suspended or terminated?

If you received credit from the Gift Card exchange program, those credits will be returned to you by CardCash in the form of a check or Paypal credit.

What happens if I voluntarily close my Stavenio account?

Stavenio credit will expire if you voluntarily decide to close your Stavenio account for any reason.
